Hi I’m Adele Cameron.  I do “Dates For Your Diary” every Monday 6.30pm, repeated the following day at 10.30am, covering local things going on in the area to go to.  If your charity or voluntary group wants me to give your event some coverage – send an email to onair@kcr.fm and leave the rest to me.  I also have a weekly music show “Del’s Discs” – Thursdays 9pm, repeated Fridays 11am. 

I was born in Elgin and have moved around but settled in Keith in 1993 and I’m still here! 

Steve MacBeath got me involved with KCR many years ago, inviting me onto his late night show  to answer the competition phone line and chat in between which I thoroughly enjoyed. 

It’s great being back on KCR again.  I love all music from Glenn Miller, classical, to Boyzone and most other things.

Now retired, my musical life divides into two halves. Early on, after piano lessons from age eight, I took up the trombone and had many happy years playing in orchestras, brass bands and a risqué adventure in a swing band. After moving to the North-East from Glasgow in 2004, I took up the piano again and have enjoyed some joyous and some frustrating hours relearning my skills.

I love the music of Mozart, Poulenc and the Russian Romantics. I try to keep learning new music and might inflict Philip Glass or the 70s rock band Gryphon on you, the unsuspecting people of Keith, for whose wonderful Community Radio Station I have had the privilege of being a presenter since 2015.

During lockdown I pulled my forgotten novel from a drawer and decided to self-publish it. Currently, I also volunteer in Duff House, Banff, playing the wonderful Bechstein Grand to entertain visitors. I sometimes wonder if there are two of me!

I’m a Grange born loon, and ex Fife-Keither, now residing in the fair city o Newmill. I’ve 2 shows on KCR.  Reid’s Record Store every week is the music that I’ve grown up listening to and some newer stuff thrown in for good measure. I play everything from country, rock n’ roll, pop and heavy metal. I love blues too so Blues Hour is nae to be missed every 4 weeks.  I’m also known to speak rubbish noo an again. So lug in sometime.

Keith loon, Allan Riddoch, is a huge fan of all types of music but mostly loves a tune that gets the foot tapping and head nodding. He’s got a weekly show on a Sunday between 7pm and 8pm or catch-up next day between 11am and 12 noon – Sunday Small Town Town Disco.

So, an hour of great music to boogie to every weekend with Allan Riddoch!!

Andrew Simpson and Alistair Monkman are The King’s Representatives in Moray and Banffshire.

They present – The Lord-Lieutenants – a 15 minute round-up every 4 weeks, Mondays at 7.45pm, repeated the following day at 11.45am – with news from their Lieutenancy.

Andrew Simpson was appointed Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire in August 2019.  His career was in education and for six years worked as Deputy Head Teacher at Keith Grammar School before becoming Head Teacher at Elgin High School.  He lives in Banff.

Alistair Monkman was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Moray in May 2025. His career was with the Royal Air Force and he served at RAF Lossiemouth as Officer Commanding 617 ‘The Dambusters’ Sqn and latterly as the Station Commander. Alistair’s wife Sandy is a Consultant Radiologist at Dr Grey’s Hospital in Elgin. They live in Garmouth.

Hi, I’m Andy Murdy and it’s a delight to be able to play tunes on the radio that get similar reactions from Baby Boomers and Millennials…

Playing tunes from the times when I had hair and the times I haven’t, from the places and people who bring a smile.

Hi, I’m Ben Pirie, a local Buckie loon and host of The Emo Hour here on KCR.

The Emo Hour is the home of everything emo, hardcore, pop-punk and alternative. It’s a safe space for anyone who loves alternative music and wants to rock out in their bedroom.

Expect bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182, Neck Deep and much more. I’m excited to help bring the alternative scene to Moray.

The Emo Hour airs every 4 weeks on Tuesdays at 7pm, with a repeat the following day at 11am.

I am a semi-retired minister enjoying life with my wife Elfriede in Lhanbryde.
I was raised in the fishing town of Peterhead which gave me a love and respect of the sea. I studied at Aberdeen University and graduated in 1980.
I am a Rotarian and a musician with hobbies which include angling and building model galleons.
I am delighted to be part of the team at KCR.

Glasgow born and bred I played,  sang and listened to many of the stalwarts of the Glasgow folk scene during the 60‘s, learning the craft of stage presentation and audience communication while absorbing the songs of the time. Matt McGinn was and still is a hero of mine.

Leaving Glasgow eventually, I embarked on a career in the Royal Air Force which took me to  many corners of the world. It was during that time that I met and joined the folk group Steamfolk. The group went on to run the Lossiemouth Folk Club for many years before finally breaking up after a very successful tour of Western Australia.

Leaving the RAF found me forming the Ceilidh Band Makarakit which for 15 years played at many a wedding and ceilidh throughout Scotland and beyond.

With the breakup of Makarakit, I now perform at Folk Clubs and Festivals around the North-East with an eclectic mix of songs from the tradition and from a variety of more contemporary artists.

Hi, I’m Bob Walton and if you like listening to a mix of traditional folk, rock, bluegrass, blues and anything else that tickles your fancy, I’ve got just the show for you!

VAN TRAX is made up of those songs that keep my wife and I going during those long drives up and down the country to various music festivals. 

Hailing from the Midlands, I played in a rock band in the 80’s, various duo’s and more recently a spell doing Americana, around the Southeast. I recently took up playing the mandolin, so I’m duty bound to include tunes featuring that instrument, played by the musicians who inspire me.

Brandon McPhee is an award-winning accordionist, singer and entertainer, well known for his passion in country and Scottish music. He has performed across the UK and beyond, bringing his distinctive sound to audiences everywhere.  The Brandon McPhee Hour is a run of 10 shows, packed with a variety of country and Scottish favourites – Saturdays at 9pm, repeated Sundays at 1pm – from 6 September through to 8 November.

Charles produces and presents The Week in Holyrood from the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.

The long-running programme covers politics and public affairs at Holyrood plus the UK Parliament at Westminster and the European Parliament in Brussels/Strasbourg.

Hi, I’m Charlie Mearns, a Newmill loon through and through and a baker all my working days. I’ve been a presenter on KCR for 20 years and I’m proud to say, I’m Elvis’s number one fan!  (Believe me – because I’ve got every single recording that Elvis ever made!)

So join me twice a week for “Charlie’s Choice”.  I’ll play you some of my favourite tracks from my extensive collection, including one or two from Elvis on every show for good measure!  

Aye aye Abiddy, I’m Charlie Simpson and, after a 27 year lapse from the airwaves at KCR, I’m back presenting a ½ hour Sportsdesk on the first Tuesday of each month at 8.00pm, repeated the following day at 12 Noon.

Originally from Ordiquhill, I’ve lived in Keith since 1988 and I’ve been involved with Keith FC in The Highland League since 1978.

I’m proud to say that I’m one of the original KCR Presenters, broadcasting from Randal Webster’s Basement away back in 1984. When the radio was resurrected in 1997, I did a weekly Sports Programme and an occasional Sounds of the 70’s Music Programme. I was one of the founding Directors, a position I held for several years until I could no longer commit my time.

My aim is to provide a good range of local sport as well as from the wider world, covering Highland League Football, junior football, youth football, shinty etc with the odd Doric poem thrown in for good measure!

My name’s Chris Rose and I present “The Pop Show”, a fortnightly programme on Sunday nights from 10pm until 11pm, repeated on Mondays between 2pm and 3pm.  So tune in for an hour of great pop classics for your listening pleasure. Hope you’ll join me then!

Crinan is a farmer, chartered surveyor and polymath.   Married with twin teenage daughters, he’s lived in Edinburgh, London and Newcastle-upon-Tyne but Moray has always been home. 
Loving all strands and staves of music from Steely Dan to the Horrors, Bach to Laidbach, he’s sung in a choir, been on stage, plays the piano and golf (badly) and knows too much about football and photography.

I’m a school student, studying for my Highers and dream of visiting Paris and Japan.  I love watching shows, especially zombie apocalypses and dystopian genres.  My music interests are Stray Kids, P1Harmony, Xdinary Heroes, The Neighbourhood, Ella Boh and Hannah Bahng,  My hobbies are playing guitar, singing, song writing, learning new languages and story writing.  My show is Twinkling By The Second.  Be sure to tune in every 4th Wednesday at 9pm or catch up next day at 1pm.

Hi, I’m Deidré  Christenson-Main.  I grew up in Flint, Michigan and worked there as a special education teacher for over a decade, before meeting my Scotsman on vacation here, marrying him, and moving to Moray. (Yes, my Mom is still mad at me 😂). I continued my career in special educational needs here until chronic health issues  forced me to retire early. I retrained as a Wellness, Health and Life coach and work with clients to empower them to be the best versions of themselves, get unstuck from what’s holding them back and help them get the life they want! I’m passionate about Health and Wellbeing! Not surprisingly, you can catch me here on KCR doing just that once a month on Keep Well where I share tips and tricks for your Health and Wellbeing to help you transform your life! 

I’m a keen amateur gardener!  I enjoy trying to grow flowers and vegetables. I started showing sweet peas about thirty years ago and this led to many good friendships. Gardening is enjoyable, frustrating, healthy, hard work and very addictive and I thoroughly recommend it.

In the mid 70’s I started collecting vinyl singles – remember them? At the time it was the only way to collect all your favourite songs. One day in The Other Record Shop in Inverness, I heard someone ask the guy behind the counter if he knew anyone who might be interested in Hospital Radio. I immediately declared an interest, and in July 1978 I started broadcasting shows for Radio Inverness, as it was called, which lasted for the next 12 years.

In the meantime, MFR went on air in February 1982, and I got involved with them a couple of months later, presenting shows, operating the studio during outside broadcasts, standing in for presenters on holiday, and continuity announcing (I kid you not!). I presented Sunday Breakfast for 11½ years (1989 to 2001) and the Rock, Roots & Acoustic show for just over 11 years (2003 to 2014). Radio is my hobby & I love finding and sharing good music, whether it’s a new song or an overlooked classic. Steve Earle once said there’s only two kinds of music – good or bad. I only play the best of what I call “music for grown-ups”. I’ve been on air here at KCR 107.7 FM since January 2015, and currently present currently present Dust In The Wind every Thursday, repeated on the KCR Catch Up on Friday afternoons and Rock Away every Saturday night, repeated on the KCR catch-up on Sunday afternoons.

Ellie presents Over The Waves for an hour of great music on the third Tuesday of the month at 8pm, repeated next day at noon. 

Fiona Kennedy is a singer, songwriter, broadcaster and producer of stage and TV productions as well as a tireless volunteer and ambassador for a number of charities. She presents Slainte Mhath!, a run of 9 shows – Saturdays at 6pm, repeated Sundays at 10am from 4 July through to 29 August. 

We present Travels Around Music every 4 weeks, Mondays at 10pm, repeated on Tuesdays at 2pm.
We’ve lived in Keith since March 2024 and worked as a massage therapist and graphic designer until we both retired and started travelling in 2013.  Our adventures have taken us around Europe, Asia and the Far East.  With no agenda, we’re open to new ideas and experiences, including the music of the countries we’ve enjoyed.

Glenn Munro, founder of Moray Concert Brass, has a 4 weekly music show on KCR – Thursdays 7pm, repeated Fridays at 11am so if you love the world of brass music – from jazz to big band, brass band to classical – Spirit Of Brass is the show for you.

We’re a teenage team behind Unscripted Radio.  It’s our first time on radio but we’ve got lots to say and some great tunes to play too.  So join us every 4 weeks – Tuesdays 7pm or catch up Wednesdays at 11am.

I was born and raised in Keith so a true “Keith Cyaard”. Growing up in the Friendly Toon was so much different in the 1970’s to what is is today where the streets of the Cuthil were our playground and the wider countryside around the town – the Balloch, Muldearie and Cairds Hills , River Isla and beyond had to be explored!

I started work in the whisky industry in 1985 at Strathisla Distillery as a mash and stillman and now after 36 years I manage 4 distilleries for Chivas Brothers on Speyside and Orkney.

My interests are golf, hill walking, cycling, keep fit, whisky distilleries and rock music. 

The show Scotch ‘N Rock was born after being introduced to KCR by my good friend Kevin King and I wanted to bring something new to the station. The show comprises of great classic rock tunes and a bit of chat about scotch whisky distilleries.

I’ve been a touring musician most of my life, travelling all over Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan.  I started playing accordion when I was 10, following in the footsteps of my family which has had a band since the 1950s.  Playing both in my family band of 3 generations (Jim Mackay’s dance band) and my modern ceilidh band “Tweed”, I go all over the place for people to hear me play.

So Lend Me Your Lugs every 2 weeks on KCR – Wednesdays at 9pm, repeated Thursdays at 1pm.  I’ll be featuring local events and the artists playing at them.  You’ll not be disappointed! 

Hi, I’m Gwen Muncey – a vibrant and passionate presenter of Gospel music. I was introduced to Community Radio while living on the Isle of Skye and loved it, so I’m highly delighted to be joining the team at KCR since I’ve recently moved to Elgin. My show THE GOSPEL HOUR is upbeat, uplifting and great fun. So whether you like Soul, Funk, R&B, Pop or Country there is something for everyone. I developed a love for Scottish music when I was very young. (I used to sleep in my pram between the 2 HiFi Speakers in the Living Room).  At the age of 13 I joined a local Pipe Band as a Drummer and started playing Drums in my late father’s Scottish Dance Band.  Since then, I’ve played in various Scottish Dance Bands and recorded several radio broadcasts and CD’s as well as playing at various Ceilidh’s, Weddings, Concerts and Accordion & Fiddle Clubs.  I moved to Keith a little over 8 years ago and can regularly be seen out and about pounding the streets as I train for various Running Events.

I’ve had over 30 years of radio experience and am delighted to be back with KCR after a 10 year break! I have long had a keen interest in Scottish and Irish music and love playing this genre on my 4 weekly show – The Thistle & The Shamrock.  I’ve been involved with the local accordion and fiddle clubs for many years and have been compere at the monthly meetings of the Dingwall club for over 10 years now. Away from work and music, I enjoy travelling and visiting new places at home and abroad.

Born and raised in Aberdeenshire, I’ve lived in Ballindalloch all my married life. I love singing and going to the theatre when I get the chance, especially to see musicals. So join me every 4 weeks on Musical Magic and I’ll transport you to Broadway, Hollywood and the West End. So see you there!

I’m over 70 and live in Pittulie near Fraserburgh.  My working life background was in Mental Health but then when I was 55, I  went to college to study art and design. After that, I was able to marry my mental health work with art.

Hi folks! My name’s Jake Bain.  I’m a local lad from Keith with a great passion for music. I love playing music and talking about music and like to listen to as many different genres of music as I can.  So if you love music and love yapping about it, tune in to my show ‘Bainer’s Belters’ every Friday at 7pm or catch up Saturdays at 11am.

Born in Dufftown, I spent my childhood in Craigellachie, got married and moved back to Dufftown. 

Expect to hear some vintage rock and roll, classic British heavy metal, rock music from all genres and a wee bit of punk on the KCR Rock Club, every 2 weeks Tuesdays at 9pm repeated next day at 1pm.  At the end of every show I play the “wind doon” –  some calm and soothing rock music before bedtime.

I have lived in Keith since 1980 and have found that Keith definitely lives up to its name as The Friendly Town. I have been a member of the Keith & District Heritage Group for about 15 years and enjoy finding out  about the history of the town and its people. Keith has been the birthplace of so many people who have gone on to great things but the stories of ordinary people are just as fascinating. I am looking forward to sharing some of their stories.

Born in Buckie and brought up in Portknockie, I started performing on stage at a very early age in a local concert.  I had a school skiffle group at 12 years old and made my debut with “The Apache’s” (popular pop band) 3 years later.  Aged 16 I joined “The Cimmerons”, later to become “Johnny & the Copycats” and became a  profession musician for 6 years when I was 17.  Performing with many popular bands, namely “The Beatles“, I released 6 singles too, sadly without success.  Returning to the area when I left the professional music scene, I settled into my butcher’s business.  I’m retired but still write songs and record.
So there’s lots of tales to tell and a great eclectic mix of music to play.  Tune in to my fortnightly show “Elusive 62“, Wednesdays at 9pm, repeated next day at 1pm.  I’ll see you there!

I have been involved with KCR for nearly 23 years. I enjoy oldies from the 60s and 70s, country and Irish and Scottish music. I’m a big Eagles fan and ABBA and Kenny Rogers are also big favorites of mine.

Keith & District Heritage Group was formed by a few local enthusiasts who were proud of their heritage and wanted to preserve it for future generations.

We have about 25 members and any member of the public is welcome to attend any of our meetings.  These are held from October through to March in Keith Library on the third Saturday of the month at 2pm.

I was born in 1966 and brought up in Keith. I left School in 1982 and joined the army serving The Gordon Highlanders. I left the army in 1989 became a steel erector for 3 years, before joining the civil service in 1992. King’s Corner is mainly made up of requests from my social media and of music that I like, ranging from Abba to Frank Zappa, so I’ll play nearly any type of music

I’m originally a Fife-Keith quine, brocht up listenin’ tae music fae Jim Reeves, The Beatles and Rolling Stones until discoverin my ain taste as I grew up.  I love listenin’ tae a’ types o’ music,  though ma favourite is Bryan Adams.  I noo bide doon in Grange (so that naebody kens fit I’m up tae nor can hear Alexa blarin’ oot music while I dance and sing along!)

I’ve been helpin’ oot at KCR since 1998, fillin’ in for presenters and had a show o’ my ain afore.  I gave up efter hain ma loon but here we are, back again wi ma show ca’d Lesley’s Pick’n’ Mix, every alternate Wednesday fae 8 – 9pm and repeated on a Thursday at noon. 

It’s great tae share music wi abody, bringin’ back folk’s memories wi’ tunes fae days gone by or up tae date. So sing alang and smile wi’ me!.

I’m a lifelong music fan, regularly attending gigs and presenting No Sleep Till Buckpool every Thursday at 8pm (repeated Fridays at 12pm) on KCR.  

No Sleep Till Buckpool focuses on alternative music. Everything from northern soul and Motown, to hip hop, indie and electronic. The aim of the show is for listeners to enjoy some old favourites, while hearing new tracks and artists for the first time. Hopefully I inspire people to go and dig deeper after they listen to No Sleep Till Buckpool.

My love of travel has also seen me follow the Scottish National Football Team at home and abroad. I’ve worked in fundraising for over a decade. I currently work for Erskine Veterans Charity as their Fundraising and Development Manager (North). It’s an exciting time as we open our new Veterans Activity Centre in Forres.

I’m Michelle Wiseman and the name is no coincidence: I’m married to the Chairman! I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Napier University a long time ago. I started as a volunteer radio presenter with KCR in August 2021. My show is called Rock and a Soft Place and is a mix of soft rock and easy listening music including some great tunes that remind me of my school and university days.

I grew up in Lancashire and although I now feel more Scottish than anything else I still have a red rose at my core. Growing up amongst a very large first, second and third generation Irish population in North Manchester it is only natural that many of my early influences were from the island of Ireland, both north and south of the border.

Sure enough, Planxty, The Bothy Band, De Danaan, The Chieftains and The Dubliners – along with the many spin-offs and solo projects connected with them – were never far from my turntable. In addition, many Lancastrian performers like The Spinners, Mike Harding, Jacqui and Bridie, The Oldham Tinkers, Bernard Wrigley, Harry Boardman et al gave me plenty to get my teeth into.

I have played and sung in many places and earnt what little could be made from doing so over a long career, and I’ve been fortunate to know many of my fellow troubadours. I believe that although times are hard for musicians there is a huge pool of new and older talent available to those who are willing to look, and I hope that I might introduce you to some of them through my regular show – Hearts of Folk. This goes out on a Monday at 8pm once every four weeks (and is repeated the following day at Noon).

Hi, I’m ex RAF and was a ground radar tecky back in the day, working at RAF Lossiemouth until I was made redundant in 2012.  Afterwards, I was a full time taxi driver but sadly that came to an end too when many local businesses closed in lockdown.  I’m retired now – but living up to a “Jack and Victor” lifestyle!  I’ve a wicked sense of humour too!!

Phyll McBain is a farmer’s daughter from the Northeast of Scotland. She is steeped in the farming tradition of the area and tells many of her stories in her mother tongue, Doric.

Having been very active in The Grampian Association of Storytellers (GAS), Phyll is well known in the area and has many contacts within the storytelling communities. She’s been telling stories for over 15 years. Fun, humorous and entertaining would describe her telling style, combining tradition, real life, anecdotal stories and new stories written by herself.

‘Ramblin’ Rangers is on every four weeks on a Monday at 7.45pm and repeated Tuesday mornings at 11.45am.  

This is a show about countryside rangers and the amazing countryside of the North East of Scotland that we work in, presented by Mark from Glenlivet Estate, and Stephen and Rebecca from Dorenell Ranger Service with occasional guest Rangers from elsewhere.  

We talk about all things related to countryside access and management  – from the changing seasons to the benefits of connecting to nature, from dark skies to bumblebees, and the joys of walking to the conservation of rare species. Anything wonderfully walking, woodland, and wildlife related!

I’m Rhoma Pirie and my show is “Where The Music Takes Me“. 

When I was young there was always music playing in our house – and I still know all the words to the Jim Reeves and Slim Whitman songs! I’ve a wider taste in music now though and play quite a mix on my show, also throwing in a few bits of trivia along the way. I enjoy listening to artists who are maybe not that well known, with a particular soft spot for the 70’s and 80’s music of my youth. I love listening to music, taking part in music quizzes and swatting up on trivia so tune in every four weeks, Wednesday at 9pm or the repeat Thursday at 1pm to see what’s in store! 

I have loved the sound of bagpipes since I was a young lad. I was lucky to have received excellent tuition throughout my piping life and now enjoy teaching bagpipes and listening to good pipe music. I hope that The Wee Drone will encourage more people to listen to and learn the bagpipes. Tune in every week, Mondays at 9pm or catch-up Tuesdays at 1pm.

I grew up in Edinburgh in the 1980s and when I was 14 I volunteered to help at a local hospital radio station. I was given the job of putting the records on the turntable and when the presenter pointed at me, it was my cue to hit ‘play’. I had a great time on those shows and learned a lot about music, like ‘ what is the 4th track on side 2 of Wet Wet Wet’s Popped in, Souled Out?’.

 I got the community radio bug then and I graduated onto presenting a range of shows on various stations in the Central Belt over about 20 years. Later in life, I moved to Moray and joined KCR in December 2021. I’ve put my 1980s pop knowledge to good use with my show Out and Out 80s

Renowned entertainer, commentator and compere at Highland Games throughout Scotland – Robert Lovie has a run of 6 special shows on KCR, starting Monday 9 February at 8pm. The Robert Lovie Hour features a great mix of his favourite music – traditional Scottish, Irish and a bit of humour too. The 4 weekly show is repeated Tuesdays at noon, through to 30 June.

Sarah from HMRC presents Benefit From Advice on the first Monday of the month at 6pm, repeated the following day at 10am. 

Known as the Lemon Drizzle Queen of KCR, I present “Pot Luck”, a weekly 60 minute music programme on Saturday at 8pm, repeated Sunday at noon and a 4 weekly chat show, “Getting To Know You”, Monday at 8pm, repeated Tuesday at noon.  I’ve been a presenter on KCR since 1997, love baking and live in Rothes.

Stephen Wiseman is co-founder of N4H and has worked in the outdoors for many years.  A bit of a natural history boffin, he loves nothing more than engaging with nature and facilitating connection for others.  Tune in to his 4 weekly show Friends In Wild Places, Thursdays 7pm repeated Fridays 11am.

I’m Steve Hickin and my programme, ‘Late Night Mix’ is broadcast weekly on Wednesdays at 10pm and repeated the next day, Thursday, at 2pm.

I moved to Keith in 1980 and have lived here ever since. I was a Business Studies teacher for 30 years until I took early retirement due to ill health. This is my second spell presenting shows – the first one was a fortnightly “Classic Albums” on the late slot on Thursdays. Now I’m presenting “I Can Hear Music” for an hour on Thursdays between 6 and 7 pm.
I’m a lifelong Beatles fan and will always manage to squeeze one of their songs into my playlist. Expect an eclectic and varied mix of music, some golden oldies, some new music from lesser-known artists or a track from a classic album.

In my spare time I love walking, gardening, cooking curries and of course listening to music, always looking to discover something to share with KCR listeners.

I’m a Rothes loon originally who moved south in the early 70s and then eventually moved back up north – Southampton to Inverness – in the late 80s with my wife and 2 boys.

I started Hospital Radio when I lived in Southampton and carried on with that when I moved to Inverness. I’ve been retired for years now and rediscovered lots of things that I just didn’t have time for – from cycling to singing and from badminton to screenprinting. 

I’ve never lost my love of music though so tune in to ‘Two in a Row‘ every 2 weeks, Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 11am. I’ll play anything as long as I like it so that means anything! Not a programme for music snobs!

Born and brought up in Elgin, I’ve always had a fondness for KCR so I’m very proud to have not one, but two programmes.

Alternatively, join me every 4 weeks on a Tuesday at 10pm for “Blasts from the Past” where I share my love of music over the years, taking a wander down memory lane as we listen to an hour of music and some trivia from one particular year. Nothing is off limits in this show – so any music genre may be played. See if you can guess that year before I reveal it at the end of the programme!  If you miss it, you can catch up next day at 2pm.

Hi, I’m Bob Walton and if you like listening to a mix of traditional folk, rock, bluegrass, blues and anything else that tickles your fancy, I’ve got just the show for you!

VAN TRAX is made up of those songs that keep my wife and I going during those long drives up and down the country to various music festivals. 

Hailing from the Midlands, I played in a rock band in the 80’s, various duo’s and more recently a spell doing Americana, around the Southeast. I recently took up playing the mandolin, so I’m duty bound to include tunes featuring that instrument, played by the musicians who inspire me.

Born and bred a Keith loon, I’m involved with various organisations in the town. Community Council, Music Festival, Keith Show, North East Accordion Club, Keith Christmas Lights and KCR. 

I begun helping with some maintenance at KCR a few years back, but got heavily involved in 2021 with the studio refurbishments. When I’m not tinkering in the studio, you’ll find me making and mending in my workshop, or at my actual work in a facilities management team (Oh and usually wi a mouthful o’ lemon drizzle)

My programme – Country calendar is a mixture o all kyns o’ music but mainly fae the 60s and 70s interspersed we fit is happening in the countryside as weel as geeing some advice aboot fit shid be happening ti the stock on the fairms. In my ain wye I try to let fowk see fit fairming is a aboot and like ti dee it in oor ain tongue – the doric.

I was born and raised in Keith so a true “Keith Cyaard”. Growing up in the Friendly Toon was so much different in the 1970’s to what is is today where the streets of the Cuthil were our playground and the wider countryside around the town – the Balloch, Muldearie and Cairds Hills , River Isla and beyond had to be explored!

I started work in the whisky industry in 1985 at Strathisla Distillery as a mash and stillman and now after 36 years I manage 4 distilleries for Chivas Brothers on Speyside and Orkney.

My interests are golf, hill walking, cycling, keep fit, whisky distilleries and rock music. 

The show Scotch ‘N Rock was born after being introduced to KCR by my good friend Kevin King and I wanted to bring something new to the station. The show comprises of great classic rock tunes and a bit of chat about scotch whisky distilleries.

I’m an Elgin loon who joined the Board of Directors at KCR in March 2021. It’s was a steep but enjoyable learning curve which continues today as technology moves with the times. I am proud of everything we broadcast on KCR107.7FM and I admire the dedication and commitment of all the volunteers who make shows and support the workings of KCR and I am especially grateful to all the listeners, sponsors and advertisers for their support.
